Two foreigners including a woman were killed and 10 others, mostly foreigners, were injured in a blast in an Italian restaurant in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad on Saturday evening, TV channels quoted police as saying.
A restaurant employee Anwar-ul Haq said he saw 8 injured lying in the restaurant after the blast.
Witnesses said they saw injured were being shifted in ambulance from the restaurant in the busy Super Market.
The blast at Luna Caprese at 8:45 p.m. destroyed the wall of the restaurant.
There were 15 to 20 people, most foreigners, having dinner when the blast occurred.
The blast created panic in the market, where a large number of people were busy in shopping on the weekend.
The police cordoned off the main road outside the restaurant.
A witness Hussain Turi, working in a private office at Super Market, said he heard a huge blast and rushed to site.
"I saw three injured were being shifted in ambulance," he said.
