Open source projects are famous because of their support and low cost or free license and thats why most of the developers and software companies are towards it while on the other hand we have open source projects,but when on web we see that there is not any support for microsoft open source.
.NET developers started using their skills for other programming languages like PHP,JAVA,PEARL,PHYTON etc because it was easy for the developer to get support for these languages because of the number of developers and communities ot was made easy.
